Subaru of Portland COVID-19 Prevention Plan
As the COVID-19 (also known as the coronavirus) pandemic has dramatically changed the lives of many people around the world, it is important to take precautionary measures in an effort to reduce the spread of this disease at the local level. Subaru of Portland has put into effect these guidelines to combat the risk of infection to our staff and patrons:
- Any employee who is experiencing symptoms (i.e., fever, cough, or shortness of breath) should notify their supervisor and stay home and contact their medical provider.
- All employees will, whenever possible, obey the "6-foot rule." This means each individual will maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from anyone else. Signs have been placed throughout the dealership as a reminder.
- All personal belongings will be removed from all workspaces. Work stations will be continuously cleaned and sanitized throughout the work day to minimize any possible contamination.
- Continuous sanitizing will be completed of all frequent contact points throughout the facility. This includes door handles, countertops, phones, keyboards, light switches, etc.
- Employees are encouraged to wash/sanitize their hands frequently. Hand sanitizer has been provided in many locations throughout the dealership and is at most public-facing work stations.
- Vehicles will be wiped with disinfectant on steering wheel, shifter knob, door handles, and window switches prior to delivery to customer.
- Disposable gloves will be made available for both employee and customer use while at the dealership.
The health of our staff and our community relies on awareness of these efforts and diligence in complying with them to the highest degree possible. Further action may be required as the spread of this disease continues, and the dealership and its staff will adjust accordingly.
