The New 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid - Coming Soon to Subaru of Portland

Performance

All the upcoming 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid models will use a 2.5-liter Subaru Boxer® engine. The boxer engine is special. All boxer engines use horizontally opposed pistons instead of traditionally vertical pistons like in other engines. This allows the boxer engine to be placed lower in the vehicle, resulting in better stability. The difference is that the Crosstrek Hybrid lineup will use two electric motors, with one mounted on each axle. The total system output is 196 horsepower, providing the strongest performance from a Crosstrek model yet.

As with all Subaru Crosstrek models, every model has a standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, providing ultimate traction, handling, and control on any surface. This allows you to explore the rugged terrain around Beavertown and drive confidently in any weather conditions.

While concrete numbers aren't yet available, you can expect impressive fuel economy from any new Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid model. Because of the high fuel economy numbers from the regular Crosstrek, we expect the upcoming Crosstrek Hybrid lineup to deliver the ideal combination of performance and efficiency in a new subcompact hybrid crossover.

Technology

To ensure you're always connected as you travel to Hillsboro, all the new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid models will feature a large 11.6-inch touchscreen Starlink multimedia system. The Starlink system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, allowing you to automatically connect your smartphone using Bluetooth to have full command of calls, apps, maps, music, messaging, and much more as you and your family and friends travel to Oregon City.
